What a great idea to hire a caricaturist for your wedding guests. But what happens when they whisk the drawings away to their rooms or cars? Why not spread the smiles by hanging your drawings on a Laughter Line – simply peg the drawings (in sleeves) along a length of twine, to display the great characters and get everyone laughing. Keep the smiles going all night long!

*Please note that I cannot supply line or pegs as I have no idea of your wedding’s theme, the venue’s available space or their hanging policies. Always best to ask the venue to supply line and pegs, which you can personalise to fit your theme, be it gold pegs or twine and shabby chic pegs. Remember that once sleeved the drawings can be heavy, so sticky tape or blu-tac are not suitable anchors.

“We wanted to write to you to extend a HUGE thank you for being a part of our day and helping to make it so special. You were just as prescribed and put a smile on so many of our guests faces – with instant recognition from our display of end results in every case.
We wish we had booked you for both before and after breakfast as guests wished they’d had theirs done too. We will be framing ours and displaying them prominently!!”

One piece of invaluable advice when it comes to your day’s proceedings is to keep your guests informed. Please be sure to tell them the order of the day’s events, especially when it comes to entertainment. Be sure to advertise the Band, Singer or Caricaturist, so everyone knows what to expect and when they are due to finish.
I love attending weddings and always leave a happy crowd, wanting more. However, sometimes they can be a little too disappointed when I have to leave at the end of my set and this can be an awkward time, so please make sure your guests know when I’m coming and when I’ll be going. I hate looking like the villain after a happy day of scribbling.
Thank you.

I’m often asked why I won’t pay for online listings or adverts, this is why;
Late last year I was approached by one of a million online wedding directories, popping up like wild fire and offered a FREE 3 month trial. I do like ‘try before you buy’ and so I signed up to the website, to see what success I had in 3 months. Foolishly I ticked their T&Cs and forgot about it, expecting an email in 3 months to see if I wanted to advertise. Instead they managed to take £59 from my Paypal, without so much as a courtesy call!
When I challenged them and asked for a refund, I was directed to their T&Cs and told it was an automated payment, therefore out of their hands. I simply pointed out that if given a choice I would have cancelled my subscription and not made the payment. This is bad business practice in my opinion.
As a wedding professional, there is no way I would take money from one of my Brides, without their knowledge and if I did I certainly would nt expect them to be happy. This is an abhorant practice and I felt it my duty to warn all suppliers considering accepting this 3 month trial offer from UK WEDDING STORE.
Whilst I am now aware of my responsibility to cancel any unwanted standing payments on Paypal and admit being remiss, I feel a warning email would have saved a lot of ill feeling.
PS: I have not received a single lead from my paid advert on their website (I shall not dignify them with a link).

This week a series of awards ceremonies took place across the UK and at the East Midlands event I was announced as the best (non musical) Wedding Entertainment for 2015! Thanks to all the Brides who voted for me and showed their support, I am very proud and will be displaying my badge with honour. Fingers crossed for the National Awards in January 2015.

I was the featured artist for the first episode of Cheannel 4’s Coach Trip, which was shown yesterday. I drew the host, Brendon and then helped the contestants to draw caricatures of each other, with hilarious results!
