Trained with a Degree in Graphic Design, George attends around 60 weddings each year, exhibitions in Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, Berlin, Barcelona and Bahrain, a regular entertainer at the Bahrain/Abu Dhabi F1, he also drew at Amanda Holden’s Hen Party, Big Brother 3’s closing party and PJ’s wedding (BB3). A TV fave, George had a cartoon featured on Bremner, Bird & Fortune, Him & Her and was commissioned by CD:UK to draw Ant & Dec’s leaving caricatures. Celeb’s choice, George was spotted and name dropped in HELLO! magazine at a glitzy London event. George went A-List when he met & drew Brad Pitt for his birthday gift, on the set of his latest movie: Fury. His career hi-light so far (Brad said)!

Born a Hertfordshire lad, I was brought up with a pen in my hand and spent my youth filling blank wallpaper rolls with doodles and drawing friends and family. I followed my artistic path through school at O and A levels. After my Foundation in Art & Design at St Albans I graduated from Leicester in 1991 with a BA (hons) in Graphic Design. I drew my first live caricatures later that year at a Sargeant’s Mess and I was hooked! The next 20+ years saw me attending dinner parties, Balls, weddings and exhibitions all over the UK, in some of the most dazzling venues, from Blenheim Palace to the House of Lords, Manchester City FC to Chelsea FC. I bit the bullet and turned full time caricaturist in 2000 and since then I’ve attended around 50 weddings each year (usually 2 every saturday) and have become something of a wedding expert. Luckily I seem to be a hit at weddings and so the relationship has flourished.
My freelance career took off in 1999, when I started drawing caricatures for TV Times magazine, this continued on a weekly basis until 2003. I then took to drawing political satire cartoons for an online paper The First Post, weekly until 2007. My reputation peaked in 2012 when I began drawing caricatures for GQ magazine. My notoriety has earned me several TV appearances (Peston, Blue Peter, Paul O’Grady, Des & Mel, One Show, Money Program) and a cartoon featured on Bremner Bird & Fortune and Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night. My freelance career continues to grow, along with my performance career, which recently took me to Barcelona, Berlin, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, where I expanded my skills by learning to draw live digital caricatures, ideal for exhibitions. My career hi-light so far must be entertaining the UK at all 66 Olympic Torch celebration events, drawing for Samsung, but F1 in the UAE is always fun too!
I am currently Midlands based, offering nation wide coverage. With 31+ years professional experience I can proudly claim to be one of the UK’s finest quality Caricaturists and as such I do my utmost to maintain the highest standard of artwork and presentation for all my clients. With over 100 satisfied clients each year since 1991, I must be doing something right!
